David Hill- Lead Singer

Lead Vocalist / Equipment Set Up

I was born November 11th, 1967 in Monroeville, Alabama. I now reside in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I have lived most of my life but I still say “Roll Tide”! I am blessed with a wonderful wife (Kristen) and four children (Garrett, Byron, Alaina and Camden) and two step-children (Lauren and Michael). Needless to say, there are very few dull moments at the Hill house.

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at age nine during a children’s crusade where they had the “World’s Strongest Man”, Paul Anderson. I remember seeing him lift a structure with 20 or so people on it weighing down on his shoulders. I then heard a message about how Jesus bore the weight of the sins of the world on his shoulders. My heart was pricked and my life was forever changed.

Over the years I have been privileged to serve at many churches in various roles such as youth pastor, children’s pastor and minister of music and I would say it all started with helping lead the church youth choir at age 19. Music has always been important in my life. In 2006, I graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee with my B.S. Degree in Christian Ministry with a pastoral emphasis. I received my Ordained Minister license in 2007.

One of my favorite scriptures is Jeremiah 29:11 “ For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I enjoy lots of different types of music, from bluegrass to classical. Some of my favorite artists include; Brian Free and Assurance, Gold City, The Bishops, Carman, Steven Curtis Chapman, Wayne Watson, Petra and Mylon Lefevre & Broken Heart.

I am somewhat of a movie buff and some my favorite movies include; O Brother Where Art Thou, Nacho Libre, Master and Commander and the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies. As far as hobbies and other interests go, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing the drums, working puzzles and playing Candy Crush.

My prayer is that all those we come in contact with will see Jesus in the lives we lead, hear Jesus in the songs we sing and that lives are eternally changed as souls are saved. To Him be all honor and glory!
